The invention relates to a method for producing a strip consisting of aluminium, or an aluminium alloy for lithographic printing plates that have been electrolytically roughened. According to said method, the metal is continuously cast to a maximum thickness (da) of 4.5 mm, the cast strip is rolled, without an additional application of heat, to an intermediate thickness (dz) amounting to 30 to 80 % of the total reduction in thickness (da - de), the strip which has been rolled to the intermediate thickness (dz) is annealed at a temperature ranging between 250 and 320~ C, in such a way that a recovery condition with greater stability is achieved without recrystallisation, and once the intermediate annealing process has been completed, the strip is rolled to its final thickness without an additional application of heat. The lithographic printing plates produced according to said method are highly stable after a lacquer-baking stage. |
