abstract |
The invention relates to a method of producing centrifugally cast, glass fib er reinforced plastic tubes. According to said method, a liquid curable resin which contains a filler is introduced into a rotating die together with glas s fibers, curing additives, possibly also with sand. Said die has a temperatur e of between 40 ~C and 75 ~C at the time of introducing the raw materials. For the layers in the outer surface of the tube a resin is used which has a gel time that is the same or equal the gel time of the resin used for the interi or of the tube. The resin used has a filler content of at least 40 %. Once the exothermic reaction is started, warm water is sprayed onto the die to mainta in the temperature of the die at at least 60 ~C until the tube is drawn.</SDOAB > |
