abstract | An optical epoxy adhesive is provided herein for the application in optical telecommunication and general optical applications. The optical adhesive comprises an optical adhesive comprising a mixture of bisphenol F epoxy resin, and novolac epoxy resin, said mixture resins cured in the presence of a core curing agent and in the presence of an accelerator and secondary curing agent. The adhesives may be used for the connection of optical fibre to optical components or components to components in optical telecommunication, fabrication of fibre arrays and connectors, bonding of optical lenses and prisms in optical path. |
