titleOfInvention | Method for remodelling an animal genome by zygotic transfer of a site-specific recombinase |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for transferring into an oocyte a mammalian site-specific recombinase, especially Cre, under its active form. Said recombinase is expressed under the control of a promoter specific in male germ cells with at least one site specific and remains associated with sperm chromatin. This process is particularly useful for reshaping the genome of an animal, for example to insert a foreign sequence into the genome of an animal, and to replace one sequence with another. In the event that said promoter is the Sycp1 promoter, an application mode allows recombinations to be carried out between paternal and maternal chromosomes. The present invention relates also on animals likely to be obtained by this process, and on the use of these transgenic animals in industries pharmaceutical, cosmetic, and agri-food. |
