abstract An X-ray-intercepting gold complex of mono-L-aspartyl (or mono-L-glutamyl) chlorin e6 or a salt thereof is provided, as such novel X-ray-intercepting metal complex of the chlorin e6 derivative, which is capable of affording sharp X-ray image of tumor, solid cancer or lesions of arteriosclerosis by X-ray radiography and is capable of making the therapy of the tumor, cancer or arteriosclerosis lesions by X-ray irradiation. Similar platinum complex can also be prepared in a similar manner.
