titleOfInvention | Thermoplastic polyester compositions with improved impact strength |
abstract | The present invention relates to thermoplastic polyesters comprising, by weight: (i) a thermoplastic polyester, (ii) a shock modifier comprising: (a) a core - bark copolymer (A), (b) a copolymer (B) of ethylene selected from copolymers (B1) of ethylene and an unsaturated carboxylic acid anhydride, the copolymers (B2) of ethylene and an unsaturated epoxide and their mixtures, (iii) the ratio (B) / (A) being between 90/10 and 25/75 for proportions impact modifier between 2 and 40% in respectively 98 to 60% of polyester, (iv) the ratio (B) / (A) being between 25/75 and 10/90 for proportions impact modifier between 18 and 40% in respectively 82 to 60% of polyester. It is particularly useful for PET and PBT, to obtain improved impact properties including low resilience temperature. |
