An oligomer for the medium to entrap microorganisms includes a main structure made of polyalkylene glycol and sub-structures including urethane bonds and ethyleneoxy, or urethane bonds, ethyleneoxy, and propyleneoxy between the main structure and the polymeric double bond groups arranged at both ends of the main structure, so that a main structure is lengthened. Network formation with the urethane bonds increases flexibility, strength, and erosion resistance thereof . On the other hand, binding with ethyleneoxy reduces hydrophobicity of the urethane regions so as to improve an affinity to microorganisms. |
