Diseases or conditions that may be treated include hypercholesterolemic atherosclerosis, type I and type II diabetes, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, endotoxic and hemmorhagic shock, inflammatory bowel disease, rheumatoid arthritis, Parkinson's disease, and stroke.
