A graphite material capable of occluding and releasing lithium is used as a material of the negative electrode of a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary cell, and the negative electrode material is bound by at least one selected from polyethylene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, ethylene-propylene copolymer, ethylene-propylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and polypropylene. The cell is provided with this negative electrode, a rechargeable positive electrode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte; therefore, the resistance of the mix of the negative electrode against separation is strong, the cell is easily handled, the reliability in the mass-production process is high, and the low-temperature discharge characteristics and cycle characteristics are excellent. |
