A waterproof laminate panel is disclosed. The panel includes a waterproof layer that substantially prevents the penetration of moisture and may be colored with any color to substantially mask inconsistencies or non-homogeneity on the surface of the laminate panel. Coloring is specially helpful to mask stress whitening caused during manufacturing or installation of the laminate panels. Although a white or opacifying colorant is preferred, any colorant may be used for coloration. A method for producing such laminates is also described. |
