abstract | A process for reducing blood pressure is disclosed. The process includes the step of administering to a patient one or more adenylated dinucleotides. Particular examples of adenylated dinucleotides that may be used in the process of the present invention include diadenosine triphosphate, diadenosine tetraphosphate, diadenosine pentaphosphate, and diadenosine hexaphosphate. By reducing blood pressure, the composition of the present invention can be used to treat a patient during hypertensive emergencies, can be used to reduce bleeding, and can be used to treat acute congestive heart failure. |
