abstract |
A coating additive composition containing the combination of a) at least one non-crosslinked product made by the reaction of an amine and a carboxylic acid, the product containing at least two hydrocarbyl groups each having about 12 to about 100 carbon atoms; and (ii) at least one fluoropolymer. The additive composition is useful as a nonflatting slip-enhancing agent in both in solvent-based and powder coatings. The cured coatings exhibit lower coefficient of friction and substantial gloss retention. |
