Ti-sn-o nanoclusters, method for their production and their use |
abstract |
The invention concerns stabilized Ti-Sn-O nanoclusters formed by complexation of Ti-Sn-O nanoclusters with a salt of an .alpha.-hydroxy acid as well as complexed nanocluster with enhanced charge transfer interaction formed by heat treating the complexed nanocluster. The invention also relates to compositions for protection against ultraviolet radiation, in which the nanoclusters are used with common topic carriers to produce the desired light protection factor level. The disclosure also covers the method for producing the nanocluster through hydrolysis of a titanium alkoxide and subsequent reaction of the hydrolyzed alkoxide with a tin halogenide, as well as complexation and if necessary malleablization of the material obtained. Said nanoclusters can be used in cosmetics, paints, enamels or synthetic materials. |
