titleOfInvention | Method of making wet pressed tissue paper with felts having selected permeabilities |
abstract | The present invention relates to a method for making improved paper structures that can be produced economically and which provide increased strength without sacrificing softness and absorbency. Conventional papermaking methods teach dewatering of a paper web by pressing the web between two felts that ideally should have a relatively high density and low pore size and permeability. The present invention provides a method of forming a paper web with improved dewatering wherein the web is pressed with an imprinting member between two felt layers. The present invention provides a method that facilitates the dewatering process. This is accomplished by the use of two felts have different air permeabilities and by removing the felt from the web at the nip exit. |
