abstract Synthetic amyloid enhancing compositions for inducing amyloidosis in a subject are described. Methods are described for using synthetic amyloid enhancing compositions to induce a subject to have increased amyloid deposition. Methods for administering to a subject an effective amount of a synthetic amyloid enhancing composition in conjunction with inflammatory stimulus to induce amyloidosis are provided. Compositions for inducing amyloidosis in a subject are described. The composition includes an effective amount of a synthetic amyloid enhancing composition in a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Other aspects describe packaged synthetic amyloid enhancing compositions for inducing amyloidosis.
