abstract A dental impression tray (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) has wall portions (14, 14b, 14c, 15c) defining at least one channel (16, 16b, 16c) for receiving a quantity of photocurable dental impression material (18). At least one of the wall portions (14, 14b, 14c, 15c) is located next to the chamber (20, 20c) and is made of a material that transmits electromagnetic actinic radiation. The tray (10, 10a, 10b, 10c) also includes a chamber (20, 20c) for receiving a chemiluminescent composition (22). Light emitted from the chemiluminescent composition (22) induces the curing of the impression material (18) in a uniform manner along the length of the channel (16, 16b, 16c).
