| abstract |
The invention concerns a method of producing bristled articles, in particular brushes, a plurality of blind holes being formed in a thermoplastics bristle carrier. A thermoplastics bristle arrangement in the form of an individual bristle or a bundle of bristles is inserted into each of the blind holes, preferably with a narrow fit, until it contacts the base of the blind hole. The bristle carrier and the bristle arrangement are then welded to each other in their contact region in that laser beams are transmitted through the bristle carrier or bristle arrangement and applied directly to the contact region where they are absorbed and heat is produced. |
