abstract | The present invention relates to an apparatus for measuring the content of a fluid into a given substance. The apparatus of the invention comprises a reactive mass porous (1) which gradually becomes colored by chemical reaction with said substance depending on the volume of fluid flowing through the mass, a hollow tube (2) open at its two longitudinal ends, in which is housed said mass, a graduation (3) on the longitudinal portion of the tube containing the reactive mass, which graduation is calibrated according to a volume predetermined fluid passing through the mass, and a thermosensitive indicator (8) which indicates that the reactive mass has reached a critical temperature heating corresponding to the passage of a volume of fluid through the mass equal to the aforementioned predetermined standard volume. The device can be used especially as a breathalyzer or to measure the rate of air pollution. |
