abstract A custom molded cushion is provided. The custom molded cushion preferably comprises a multilayer structure comprising a first resilient layer and a second layer. The second layer comprises a foamimpregnated with a curable resin. The first and second layers areadapted to deform against a body part of a patient and to create and retain an impression of the body part. The first and second layers are selected to act in concert to distribute the pressure applied to the cushion. Methods of preparing such custom molded cushions are also provided.
