titleOfInvention Wheelchairs
abstract A side folding wheelchair which incorporates lightweight assembly parts, preferably of a plastic material, that avoid the need for welds. Two side frames each included seat front and rear supports having integral preformed joints for securing to upper and lower side members and to other wheelchair components. Preformed T-joints are used to secure scissors like cross members to the lower side members and to upholstery seat support members to facilitate folding the wheelchair. During use, the upholstery seat support members are seated in cradles integrally formed in the seat front and rear supports.
