abstract The invention relates to a bioreactor for the treatment of a fluid by cells. Said bioreactor comprises an element defining a chamber in which cells are located for the treatment of the fluid, a liquid-permeable membrane separating said chamber from a first channel in which the fluid to be treated flows and a gas permeable membrane separating said chamber of a second channel in which flows a gas containing oxygen. The chamber contains two layers of cells separated from each other by a permeable layer.
