abstract Papermaking fabrics comprising monofilaments of blended polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and liquid crystalline polymer (LCP). The monofilaments are particularly useful in forming and dryer fabrics. The papermaking fabrics have significantly improved abrasion resistance characteristics over fabrics comprising monofilaments of pure PET.
