Cellulose sponge and process for its production |
abstract |
The invention relates to a cellulose sponge which can be made by mixing a cellulose solution in an aqueous tertiary amine oxide with a pore former and a foaming agent and then subjecting it to conditions resulting in a decomposition of the foaming agent and the foaming of the cellulose solution, whereafter the foamed cellulose solution is brought into contact with water to precipitate the cellulose. |
