| abstract | The present invention relates to apparatus and method for retrieving information via an interactive computer network such as the Internet. Apparatus and methods are provided that permit Web clients to intelligently search secondary Web servers that have data matching the Web client's search criteria and retrieve specified data from such secondary Web servers, without the need for the Web client to specify the uniform resource locators, (URL's) of the secondary Web servers.
