abstract |
Oxygen which is in addition to oxygen from air is injected into a nitric acid production process such that the total amount of additional oxygen injected is distributed between the bleacher and the cooler/condenser train. This process results in reduced oxygen requirements for increasing production, increasing acid strength and decreasing NOx emissions. |
