abstract A mold or release carrier film for use in the manufacture of molding compound composites formed from a blend of a film forming polyamide resin and at least one release agent material selected from the group consisting of (1) secondary amides of the formula: R1-CO-NH-R2 and (2) N,N' ethylene bis amides of the formula: wherein R1 is an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain of about 14 to about 42 carbon atoms, and R2 is a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic hydrocarbon chain of about 14 to about 42 carbon atoms; or (3) calcium stearate; (4) a mixture of calcium stearate and silicone; (5) a mixture of calcium stearate and polytetraflurorethylene; (6) polypropylene; (7) modified polypropylene; (8) waxes; (9) fluoroelastomers; and (10) silicones; with the proviso that any modified polypropylene present does not exceed 3% by weight.
