titleOfInvention | Reduction of benzene formation in dibenzoyl peroxide formulations |
abstract | The present invention generally relates to a method for reducing the rate and amount of free benzene formation in BPO formulations. The method comprises adding at least one free-radical scavenger to said formulations in an amount effective to reduce the rate of BPO decomposition. The invention also relates to BPO formulations having reduced decomposition rates and improved stability which contain an effective amount of at least one free-radical scavenger added thereto. |
