A method to form an enzymatic germicidal iodine-based composition is disclosed that is minimally comprised of iodide anions, a source of peroxide and peroxidase in combination with iodine sequestering agents in an aqueous medium wherein said sequestrants are combined prior to equilibration of the nascent enzymatic reaction. |
