Novel latices of monodisperse magnetisable microspheres consisting of a hydrophobic polymer matrix and magnetisable fillers. Said microspheres have a calibrated particle-size distribution and a size of around 0.1-5 micrometers, and the polymer matrix as produced by a dispersion polymerisation method consists of polymer chains derived from at least one vinyl monomer. Said latices may be used in biology, in particular for diagnostic and affinity chromatography methods.. |
