titleOfInvention | Sterilization container |
abstract | The invention relates to a sterilization container, preferably for hospital refuse. The container comprises a receptacle (1) with a filling opening that is defined by the upper edge of its side wall (5) and is disposed opposite from its bottom (4) and lid (2) for covering the filling opening. The receptacle (1) - and if need be, also the lid (2) - is comprised of a tough plastic that is permeable for microwaves and resists stretching, even beyond the boiling temperature of water.A pressure-tight sealing device (20) provided between the receptacle (1) and the lid (2) and a closure device (3, 29) provided for securing the lid (2) on the receptacle (1) counter to the force of an internal pressure in the receptacle (1) assure that after a hermetic closure of the container and moistening the contaminated refuse, said refuse in the sterilization container is sterilized by means of micro waves and is readied for disposal. The container according to the invention reliably withstands the existent internal pressure due to its composition. |
