titleOfInvention | Integrated circuit input-output coupler |
abstract | The invention relates to the field of input-output couplers with fast switching for high speed data transfer bus. The coupler input output of an integrated circuit allows to exchange signals with identical couplers located in other integrated circuits by means of a bus line (51). Such a coupler comprises a transmitter (6) and a receiver (7) connected to the line (51) by a conductor (5). The transmitter (6) includes a switch (63) whose passing state puts the conductor (5) at a potential Vb. The coupler further includes a switch (64) or (65) whose on state brings the conductor (5) to a Vtt potential and such that the setting in the on state of this switch is only possible after setting the blocking state of the switch (63). Thus, the rapid conduction of the switch (64) or (65) makes it possible to obtain rapid variations between two discrete states of potential Vb and Vtt of the electrical conductor connecting the transmitter to the bus line, with a large stability on each of these two states. |
