The invention concerns extruded cellular-plastic panels produced using halogen-free propellants from styrene-polymer thermoplastic having a Vicat softening temperature VST, measured using method B50, of, at the most, 100 .degree.C and a melt volume-flow rate (MVR), measured at 200 .degree.C and a load of 5 KG, of at least 5 ml/10 min. The panels are at least 20 mm, preferably more than 50 mm, and in particular 80 mm to 200 mm thick. Propellants preferred for the manufacture of the cellular-plastic panels are carbon dioxide alone and mixtures of carbon dioxide with ethanol and/or dimethyl ether. |
