abstract | A system for the intravenous adminis-tration of a plurality of medicaments and/or nutrients contained in respective liquid con-tainers (12) includes a plurality of liquid in-travenous administration sets (32), each ad-ministeation set (32) defining a flow path from a point of entry adapted to be fluidly con-nected to a respective liquid container (12) to a point of exit adapted to be fluidly connected to a vasopuncture device, the flow path be-ing bounded over a portion of its length by a flexible intravenous tube (36), and a plurality of indicia, each designating a respective one of the liquid reservoirs containing one of the medicaments and/or nutrients and associated with a respective one of the administration sets (32) defining a flow path from that liquid reservoir (12) designated by tbe indicia. In a preferred embodiment, the plurality of indicia comprise respective colors, each color desig-nating a respective one of the liquid contain-ers (12) containing one of the medicaments and/or nutrients. |
