abstract This invention describes a non-radioactive targeting immunoreagent comprised of the residue of a proteinaceous active site of a dihydrofolate reductase enzyme (DHFR), a linking group, and the residue of an immunoreactive material together with a radioactive delivery agent comprised of the residue of a ligand which has an affinity for non-covalent binding to said DHFR receptor moiety, a linking group, and the residue of a radioactive agent. This invention also describes a non-radioactive targeting immunoreagent comprised of the residue of a ligand which has an affinity for non-covalent binding to a DHFR proteinaceous active site receptor moiety, a linking group, and the residue of an immunoreactive material together with a radioactive delivery agent comprised of the residue of a DHFR proteinaceous active site receptor moiety, a linking group, and a radioactive agent. These compositions comprise useful systems for the production of an amplification of delivery of the radioactive agent to tumor sites in the therapy and diagnostic imaging of cancer.
