High-strength composite board |
abstract |
The invention relates to a composite board useful in civil engineering construction and general industry. The board is designed to preserve wood resources, to have improved holding strength for wood screws and mechanical properties of lightness, strength, rigidity and lifespan superior to prior art particle boards. The composite board comprises reinforcing plates that comprise fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin joined with a wood board that comprises primarily wooden fragments or a thin board. Long continuous fibers are arranged in a single direction within the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin. The ratio by weight of the long continuous fibers is between 40% and 80%. |
