abstract | A process for measuring the coating weight of a dried-in-place non-chromate polyacrylamide/surfactant based conversion coating is dis-closed. An ammonium hexafluorotitanate tracer added to such a conver-sion coating was found to not adversely affect coating properties. The tracer was found to remain proportional to the polymer matrix when the coating was analyzed by X-ray fluorescence. |
