titleOfInvention | Method for living-tissue preservation and perfusate therefor |
abstract | The invention provides a method for preservation of living tissues of an animal organ capable of maintaining their characteristics and functions on the cellular level. The invention also provides a perfusate and a preservation liquid for living-tissue preservation exerting less damage on the tissue, improving possibility of success in organ transplanta-tion and accuracy of clinical or non-clinical study on biological activity of the tissue. The method for living-tissue preservation comprises injection of the first solution causing no hemolysis into blood vessels as the perfusate to replace blood in the organ thereby, injection of the second solution free from phase separation and production of ice crystals in the tissue as the preservation liquid to substitute it for the first solution and preservation of the tissue at cryogenic temperature. Uniform cooling, rapid and uniform warming of the tissue sample are accomplished by piercing the tissue sample with a metal needle assembly comprising 8 plurality of metal needles and a metal base. |
