PROCESS FOR 3,5-DI-TERT-BUTYLSALICYLALDEHYDE ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A process for the synthesis of 3-5-tert-butyl-salicylaldehyde from 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol and hexamethylenetetramine is disclosed. The reaction provides 3,5-tert-butylsalicylaldehyde in commercially attractive yields from readily available starting materials. |
