| abstract |
An apparatus (10) for use on a machine tool having a table movable along a rail (18) disposed in a way. The apparatus includes a way cover (14) and a rail engaging coupling (12). The way cover includes a top and first (60) and second (61) opposing way side walls extending generally downwardly. The rail engaging coupling (12) includes bearing means (16) and a housing portion (40) housing the bearing means. First (32) and second (33) legs extend from opposite sides of the housing portion (40) and are attached to the table top (20) of the table at distal ends. The legs extend from the housing portion (40) under the way cover side wall to movably connect the table top (20) with the rail (18). |
