titleOfInvention | Process for the synthesis of semi-synthetic glycosaminoglycans with heparin or heparan structure modified in position 2 of the .alpha.-l-iduronic-2-0-sulfate acid |
abstract | A process for the synthesis of semi-synthetic glycosaminoglycans of general formula III (see fig. I) with heparin or heparan structure modified in position 2 of the .alpha.-L-iduronic-2-O-sulfate acid in which the sulfate group is, entirely or in part, substituted with a nucleophilic radical is described. Said process is carried out by treating glycosaminoglycans with heparin or heparan structure by means of a nucleophilic agent in alkaline medium. |
