abstract 2111309 9222529 Process for the preparation of the pure isomeric forms of esters of 3,3,5-trimethyl cyclohexanol amino acids and process for preparation of the various pure isomeric forms of the trimethyl-3,3,5 cyclohexanone, intermediate product for the preparation of said esters. The process for the preparation of pure isomeric forms 3,3,5-trimethyl cyclohexanol ester amino acid esters characterized in that: (1) a 3,3,5-trimethyl alcohol is prepared cyclohexanol of preselected configuration at the level of its carbons asymmetrical (C1 and C5), by reduction from a trimethylcyclohexanone isomer pure, and (2) reacting a form appropriate isomer of amino acid with 3,3,5 trimethyl alcohol cyclohexanol of preselected configuration, obtained in (1), in a weight ratio close to stoichiometry and at a temperature sufficient to remove the water formed, while not causing racemization of the ester obtained. Use of said forms of pure isomers of esters in the correction of dislipidemias.
