RESIDUAL GLUTARALDEHYDE DETECTOR ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An indicating system suitable for detecting the presence of glutaraldehyde in wash water at concentrations of about 5 to about 20 ppm comprising a sulfite and a pH indicator where the pH indi-cator is cresolphthalein. The ratio of sulfite to cresolphthalein is about 3/1 to about 5/1, and the indicating system is utilized in an amount such that the concentration of sulfite in the gluta-raldehyde wash solution to be tested is about 0.6 g./cc to about 1.4 g./cc. |
