abstract | PULP BLEACHING SYSTEM ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE A method of bleaching a cellulosic material in a refiner by impregnating the cellulosic material with a peroxide and then passing the impregnated material to a refiner and applying sodium carbonate to the material as it passes into the refiner. The sodium carbonate is intimately mixed with the impregnated material and combines with the peroxide in situ to bleach the material so that the resultant material leaving the refiner is a bleached pulp. |
