abstract |
Lightly cross-linked polymer, of which at least about 60 % by weight of the polymer, has been prepared by suspension or emulsion polymerizing at least about 50 % by weight of a carboxyl-containing monoethylenically unsaturated monomer acrylic acid with from about 0.1 % to about 5 % by weight of a non-polyalkenyl polyether difunctional cross-linking agent having a dry particle size of not more than about 30 µm in equivalent spherical diameter are formulated with water and at least one ophthal-mic demulcent; or at least one ophthalmic demulcent and at least one ophthalmic vasoconstrictor, into aqueous suspensions in which the amount of polymer ranges from about 0.1 % to about 6.5 % by weight. |
