abstract | The invention relates to a process for the preparation of adipic acid by hydrocarboxylation of acids pentenic, that is to say by reaction of water and oxide of carbon on at least one pentenic acid. She has more particularly for object a process for preparing adipic acid by hydrocarboxylation of at least one acid pentenic in the presence of rhodium or a rhodium compound and an iodinated promoter, this process being characterized in that that the reaction is also carried out in the presence of minus a co-catalyst chosen from the group consisting of iridium, ruthenium, osmium and their compounds. The choice of such a catalytic system leads to activity and selectivity in adipic acid improved and allows at least partially overcome current constraints choice of solvent and water content. |
