A compound having the formula (see formula I) wherein R1 is hydrogen, NH2 or C1-6-alkyl which may be branched; R is O, S, NCN; Y is O, S; R4. R5. R6 and R7 independently of each other are hydrogen, halogen, CF3, NO2, NH2, OH, C1-6-alkoxy. C(=O)-phenyl or SO2NR I R II wherein R I and R II independently are hydrogen or C1-6-alkyl; R11 is hydrogen, halogen, NO2 or SO2NR'R" wherein R' and R" independently are hydrogen or C1-6-alkyl; R13 is hydrogen, halogen, phenyl, CF3, NO2; R12 is hydrogen or together with R13 forms a C4-7-carbocyclic ring which may be aromatic or partially saturated; R14 is hydrogen or together with R13 forms a C4-7-carbocyclic ring which may be aromatic or partially saturated; pharmaceutical compositions thereof, and a method of treating a disease in a mammal, including a human; responsive to opening of potassium channels, which comprises administering to a mammal in need thereof an effective amount of a compound as first above indicated, are disclosed. |
