PATENTS 60SI-1345/MAM/0260m ABSTRACT A novel method is provided for preparing carboxy functional silicones, comprising the steps of: (1) addition reacting a mixture of ingredients containing (A) an olefin-terminated organodcyloxysilane; (B) an organohydrogenpolysiloxane, and (C) a precious metal or a precious metal-containing catalyst, and (2) hydrolyzing the addition reaction product prepared in step (1). |
