Protein phosphatase inhibitor-1 gene and expression |
abstract |
TITLE OF THE INVENTION EXPRESSION ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The gene encoding the complete amino acid sequence of mammalian protein phosphatase inhibitor-1 (PPI-1) is disclosed. The gene is about 516 base pairs in length and the deduced amino acid sequence of the protein from rat has about 80% amino acid sequence homology with other mammalian species of protein phoshatase inhibitor-1. The novel gene is used to produce transgenic animals. |
