abstract | ABSTRACT There is provided a method of stabilising bacteria present in an aqueous growth medium the method consisting in separating the bacteria from the growth medium by centrifuging to make a non-aqueous bacterial paste and storing the paste in a protective environment. The paste may be centrifuged into an impermeable sheath to make a sausage or may be re-suspended in liquid and perhaps encapsulated in gelatin. |
