ABSTRACT A solvent-free process for the preparation of herbicidal 2-(4-(pyridinyl-2-oxy)phenoxy)propionate esters is disclosed. The process involves the coupling of a 2-fluoropyridine and an ester of 2-(4-hydroxy-phenoxy)propionic acid in the presence of an anhydrous base and in the absence of an added solvent. |
